Pine Tar Poison

When I went home for spring break my dad got us tickets to see life-size re-creations of the pinta and the Nina. The boats go on tour and are mostly run by volunteers. The volunteers educate the visitors who come on board of how the boats were reconstructed in South America and give the history of the original boats. When you're on board with about fifty others and they tell you the hundreds of people that were actually on board the ship in historic times, you get a really good sense of how cramped and how little personal space was afforded to any of them.
